Established in 2004, Enviromental Hygiene provides companies within a 300km radius from Gauteng with environmental hygiene services in order to ensure that the companies and all associated stakeholders enjoy pest free and hygienic work, play and living environments.

Enviro’Mental Hygiene provides a range of hygiene services to the private sector. Our main goal is protecting the health of workers and the environment. By ensuring a sanitary workplace, we can help improve worker productivity and well-being. Our solutions take the hassle out of rules and regulations, enabling you to concentrate on the business side of things. We adhere to and promote ecologically integrated solutions.

History and Background

Co-founder Mr. Stevens matriculated in 1990, started his working career at Standard Bank S.A in February 1991. He held various positions such as; filling clerk, balancing officer, reconciliation supervisor and data capturer. In February 1995 he joined Rentokil Initial as a Pest Control Technician. He completed an N.C.P.C. through Technisa and gained registration through the Department of Agriculture. In March 1997, he was promoted to Supervisor JHB Hygiene. In his career at Rentokil Initial, he was responsible for JHB, West Rand, Midrand, Pretoria and Pietersburg Branches.

The company is owned and managed by Mr. Adrian Stevens (HDI) a Historically Disadvantaged Individual. The company can be classified as a Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) company. Holding in the company and its management is 100% in the hands of HDI’s.

The owners are fully committed to the notion of BBBEE and foresees involvement of the company in various community development initiatives, as a positive way of contributing to this ideal.Achieved a level 2 status in accordance with the codes of good practice issued under section 9(1) of the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Act no 53 of 2003 on the 9th February 2007.
